NEC and Excelsior meet on 8 September
The Eredivisie match between NEC and Excelsior has been rescheduled to 8 September. The Nijmegeners get more rest around the double meeting with Bodø/Glimt in the Champions League play-offs.
NEC qualifies for the Champions League play-offs
NEC defeated Olympiakos in extra time on Tuesday and qualified for the Champions League play-offs. On Wednesday 19 and Tuesday 25 August, the matches against Bodø/Glimt are on the schedule.
What does this mean for Excelsior?
Dick Schreuder hinted after the Olympiakos match that a possible rescheduling was on the cards, and now it's official. NEC and Excelsior will meet on Tuesday 8 September or Wednesday 16 September for their Eredivisie match in round 3.
