Excelsior Rotterdam has collaborated with Woei and Robey Sportswear to create a limited collection for the Rotterdam derby. The collection includes a warm-up shirt, match jersey and goalkeeper kit. The idea for the collection came about on the street, not in a meeting room. Roberto Garcia del Rio from sneaker shop Woei drives daily past Stadion Woudestein, the stadium of Excelsior. There, the idea began to grow to do something together with the club. He wanted to do it with Robey Sportswear, the Rotterdam sports brand that has been dressing the club for years. So, the collaboration between the three parties eventually came about. The collection has been available online since March 7 and will be released in a limited edition. According to Woei, this is also part of the idea behind the project. “We always believe in less rather than more,” says Roberto. “If this shirt is on Marktplaats for double the price in four years, then you know you've done something good.”
